WeeMedical Prince George officially re-opened on Saturday, 12 days after being shut down by RCMP and the city for selling medical marijuana.
The local dispensary on 3rd Avenue say they will not be selling cannabis this time round and are hoping to gain community support with a petition, that will be presented to city council at a later date.
Although they can’t sell the product, the dispensary says they can help you get connected to a doctor via skype.
Manager James Brown says cities with dispensaries are safer then ones without.
Corporal Craig Douglass said in an interview on February 7th, 2017 that businesses selling marijuana are not legal, and therefore they will generate interest from the police if they try to set up in the community.
Brown adds that the business will be open 6 days a week, with the goal of selling medical marijuana in the future.
